Item Details
Cased set of "J. s. Bailey" signed English .60 cal. flintlock pistols with fine brass octagonal to round barrels. Signed to the to the barrels J. s. Bailey with proof marks above (V) under the crown in an oval mark and in use since 1670 & above (CP) under the crown in another oval mark and in use since 1637. Stock in a brown maple wood. Early wood case with sea foam green felt liner. Includes multiple accessories and original parts including a bone carved screw on container. Includes bullet mold marked to the side, chisel with wood handle, spare flint stone, numerous bullets and powder Flask in brass and copper as well as a ram rod and barrel tool. Sizeof barrel 10 1/4" to tang, overall 14" L. Provenance: Very good condition with light knicks and old scratches patinated with from use.

All lots are sold as is with no representation of age, condition or description. By participating in this auction bidders agree that all lots are sold as is without any warrants or representations with respect to the lots. The auctioneer retains the right to reject any bid and to withdraw or pass any lot at his or her absolute discretion. When identical absentee bids are submitted the auctioneer will accept the first bid presented at his or her discretion. The highest bidder as determined by the auction house shall be responsible to pay for the hammer, buyer's premium and any applicable sales tax. Ownership of lots shall not be transitioned to the respective winning bidder until the auction house is satisfied with all funds being transferred and cleared to the auction house's account. All sales are final. Buyers have 10 days to arrange for removal of lots from the auction houses facility. After 10 days the auction house reserves the right to charge a $5 storage fee for each additional day until the lots have been removed. The auction house reserves the right to relist and sell any lots which have accrued a storage fee larger than the hammer plus buyer's premium total for a given lot. Shipping and safe delivery of the lots is the buyer's responsibility. The auction house reserves the right to update or remove any lot listed at the auction house's discretion.
